The girl on the right is Mary Beulah Welch. Girl on the left is unknown, but may be a Thompson or Forehand relative. Beulah was orphaned at the age of 13 when her mother, Hester Anna Amanda Thompson, died (Beulah's father, James Franklin Welch, had died 4 years previously). Beulah was born near Augusta, Woodruff county, Arkansas in 1871, and grew up in Oppelo, Conway county, Arkansas. She later married James Elonzo Todd.
